Do I have to be home during install?

Day one and the final walk-through, yes. The middle of the install, no. We can work from a key or a lockbox if you'd rather not be there.

Can I change my mind on cabinet style after the design session?

Yes, until the order is placed. After the order goes in, changes can affect cost, timing, and what has to be reordered.

What is decided before anything is ordered?

The cabinet layout, finish direction, hardware direction, countertop path, install scope, calendar, payment schedule, and warranty terms are clarified before the order is placed.

What if my kitchen has plaster walls or other surprises?

We tell you on day one of install and quote any extra work in writing. We don't do extra work without your sign-off.

Do you handle countertops or do I find a fabricator?

We coordinate countertops through our local partner and keep them on the Oakway quote. You pick the surface, we handle the schedule and point of contact.

Kitchen visit

Duration: A focused in-home visit. Free.
What we do: We come to your house, measure the space, talk through what you’re trying to fix, and explain the cabinet, hardware, countertop, and finish options that fit the project.
What you do: Walk us through the kitchen. Tell us what’s been bothering you about it. Ask whatever you want. Nothing is committed.
What you leave with: A clearer sense of whether Oakway should lead the kitchen scope or support a contractor-led project, plus what we need to price before the full quote follows.

Design session

Duration: Scheduled after the kitchen visit, once measurements and goals are clear.
What we do: Lay out the kitchen in design software you can review. We walk through the plan cabinet by cabinet, drawer by drawer, and explain where countertop, hardware, and finish choices affect the quote.
What you do: Make decisions about cabinet style, hardware, countertops, and layout. We’ll give you the trade-offs in plain language. If something doesn’t fit your budget, we’ll tell you before you fall in love with it.
What you leave with: A written scope and quote that shows what Oakway is handling, what is coordinated through a partner, and what is outside the current project.

Install

Duration: Scheduled from the signed scope; cabinet install, countertop template, and final reconnects happen in sequence.
What we do: Demo the old kitchen, deliver the new cabinets, install them, reconnect the basics, and clean up. If your project needs broader remodel work, we coordinate that scope through our general contracting partner and keep the schedule clear as the job moves.
What you do: Keep a temporary kitchen setup during the active install stretch. Approve the final walk-through.
What you leave with: A finished kitchen, a warranty handoff, and one Oakway contact if anything comes up.
